Nightstade [PS2]

Remember last time I played Spyro and my friend, Kat, was over cleaing my computer of viruses? She actually PLAYS video games and instead of teasing me about it, she suggested that I review one of her games. XD Because we established a while ago that she was a gamer and I enjoyed watching video games more than actually playing them myself. So here we are, playing this new game that she JUST opened. It's called Nightshade and it stars the modern day Mulan + Bad voice actor named Hibana (which sounds a lot like Ivana...I wish her names was Ivana. ;-; ). This bitch can kick missles with her /feet/. Aaaand the rest of it is ninjas. XD YAY NINJAS. Not really. Ninjas = really bad over used effects. Like when she goes fast, she leaves behind little clouds of herself, and when she slices someone into little pieces, they stand still until you've killed everyone before a cheesy cut scene shows all of their paralyzed bodies and they slice into a million pieces. (Except not really, they just explode in a very small amount of blood and fall forward...)

The first boss looks like a Power Ranger villan. AND HE'S A NINJA CYBORG. :D

A really cool thing about Hibana is her little zoozoo headband thing (I-...I don't know what to call it!). It looks really cool when she runs forwhard, sticks out like ears when she walks slow, and makes her look high when she runs in circles. The thing about going slow... When you're just running around, she's pretty fast. This is shown, obvious, by her hollographic headband trailing behind her. But for some reason whenever you encounter monsters, she slows down CONSIDERABLY. Like she's scared of them or somethign! XDD
I gotta say, the graphics of the game at the beginning are okay, but get progressively worse as the game goes on. The only thing that remains slightly interesting to look at is this freaking headband.

So far, Kat says it's pretty easy. I believe her because the only time she's lost so far was when she 'accidentally' commited suicide over the edge of this one building she was fighitng 'hellspawns' on. Hellspawns really just look like freakish plants and bugs... Like mutated pokemon or... or something! God, this is bugging me. They remind me of something, but I don't know what. Aliens on Animorphs? Spore creatures? Mutant Neopets? AUG THIS WILL BUG ME. Anyway, remember how the ninjas would spew blood after you killed them? These things bleed in sponges!! SPONGES!!! :DD That's like saying, "Don't worry if we make a mess, here's a cleaning utensil so you can wash up the evidence afterwards!!"

The camera angles are gay. Well, Kat doesn't like them because they're automatic. That's usually what I shoot for in a video game and they look alright to me, except every once in a while it gets stuck on a gay angle and you can't change it. ... Oh wait, nvm. Yes you can. She was bitchin for nothing. :D NEVERMIND.

Bitch thinks she's spiderman. D< I gotta say, Kat is VERY amused by her wall scaling. XD Mostly becasue she got stuck against a wall ans spasmed her way to the top.

So, Hibana has some really cheesy lines. XD Like when she kills things and during that bad cut scene I talked about she might say "Die" or "Ashes to Ashes" and those alone are indeed a joy to make fun of. But when Kat 'accidentally' commited suicide for the 3rd time, her dying line was "Is this my... Destiny?" In the most pathetic voice ever, I almost died. XD How.... Sad and cheesy and helarious. DIE MORE!

I've made another observation about the hellspawn as well. Earlier, she was facing about 3 of the giant moths and none of them were really trying to harm her in any way. Until just recently, the monsters just kind of stood aside and let you kill them. So when I saw the first purple energy ball emit from a moth, I was shocked. XD We think that the hellspawn aren't really evil. Maybe they just want peace on earth and to prevent global warming. But Spiderwoman/Mulan/Ivana over here gave them no choice but to attack. XD;

I gotta say, this second boss is the TITS. (Hey, I never said this reveiw was kid-friendly. XD) And he's got freaking awesome theme music too!!! Kinda reminds me of the Neverending Story theme song at first. It was a fast battle though. ;-; I miss it! That was the only remotely cool thing we've seen so far!
And it just sucks that it was followed by a crappy cut scene with horrible (I mean HORRIBLE) lip syncing and lines taken straight from a book on cliches (I mean BAAAAAAAD lines). ...-sob-

Now we're under the subway and there's this spongy goo stuff everywhere that is WAAAAY too fun to watch Hibana walk through. XDD Know what's also really fun to watch her do? Go into Idle. She has that Peter Pan stance.

And there's a bad guy. Kitty says he looks like the old Goku. He's indeed funny looking. XD We don't know who he is yet, only that Hibana swears that he will die by her blade!! ... God these lines suck. XDD;

Okay, so Kat's fighting this freaking awesome new boss. I'm going to take this time to describe to you Hibana's outfit. The torso is made out of fish scales (HOLY SHIT THAT BOSS WAS A SHORT BATTLE. Kat: The game play is harder than the actual bosses...), the arms are made out of King Crab legs, the helmet looks like something out of Beatle Wars, and her headband is an effing lava lamp. :D ....exciting, right?

So a random little box just informed us that the old Goku man we're chasing is Hibana's old master. L. O. L. Thank you, random box, for supplying us with information the actual game failed to explain.

So, here's my issue. We're in Japan, one of the most populated countries in the world. ... WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE? Are they dead? Why was the subway running if they're all dead?! Anothing thing I noticed about the subway: there was a crashed subway. Like, the cabins were torn up and scattered. ... Were there people on that thing?! Like, are there dead people inside of it now? Are you telling me we're killing monsters around a graveyard? XD

Anyway, that's all we have time for so, uh... Bye! :D

DON'T BUY THIS GAME. If you REALLY wanna play it, borrow it from a friend or something first. It's a waste of your money. XD Unless you wanna button mash and feel like a ninja chick made in really bad graphics and voice acting, but, hey, it's all a matter of opinion I guess!

About time

I thought it was about time I updated. ^^; I've been kinda putting it off, but not 'casue I'm in a bad mood or anything. On the contrary, I've been in the best mood of my life lately.~~~

I deffinitely tried to post the other day, but nothing happened. >< It made me ANGRY. But now I'll try again. -^^-

XD yeah, it was fun....

Omg, I totally wrote this story that's really cool about my real life... Kinda like back when I would write real life occurances and always refer to myself as "The Girl" and Ryan as the "The Boy" and come up with psydonymes for everyone else... except no one had a name in this one. There are only 3 characters "The girl" that's me. "The new/best friend" is the main focus of the story and "The boy" is this random guy that managed to get himself caught up in the whole thing... I wish I could show you, but it's at dad's. T________T

I listened to all of the Avenue Q songs the other day and burned them onto a CD. <3 'My Girlfriend (who lives in canda)" was probably my favorite. XD "I will soon go to Alberta - I mean Vancouver! *whispers to self quickly* shit! her name is Alberta she lives in vancouver!!!" <333333 But Nickie's my favorite character still. Him and Gary Coleman. <3

Songs for Lindsay Pai. I love this song. X3 And not just 'cause my name's in it. It's just an AMAZING song! Hellogoodbye is slowly becoming one of my favorite bands. I was shocked to find out there was actually a MODERN band that I like. But they play the kind of music that makes me wanna get up and dance. X3

I played in the snow yesterday. =O I haven't played in the snow in years. It's usually too cold, but Kelly managed to drag me out of the house. First we sled... for two seconds. She has a good sled though. And then we decided to make a snowman. This was an on-going project for the next 50 minutes. She was so cute! X3 Kelly named her Bob. My sister has pictures on her camera, I'll show you later. But she was my first snowman. And we got in a snowball fight with this random kid I dunno who walked by and started chucking snowballs at us. XD that was fun. And we took clean snow and put soda in it to make icecream-soda-floats. Mine was Caffine Free Pepsi Snow. Mmmm. I would've had more, but it was cold and I was freezing ((probably should have dressed better ><))

Misty's Boyfriend Cycle;

Ryan (6th grade was our last year)- 5 years. Our parents set us up together and we became quite aquainted with each other. I had a 'First Love Puppy Crush' on him for a very long time after we broke up. We never really got to see each other so I broke up with him when I found out he was going to do it to me. XD It was our last race. I still see him from time to time, but not a lot.

Joe (7th grade)- I had a HUGE crush on this guy from 6th grad to the middle of 7th grade. During 7th grade he asked me (FINALLY!) and I almost wet myself. But I was so shy - I didn't want to scare him away. So I didn't say anything. 3 1/2 days later, he broke up with me. XD I was devasted for all of a week... then I got over it and him.

Brock (8th grade)- Met him at a TL. Actually that was a great one - I dressed up in a red cape 'cause it the last TL before Halloween and became Little Red Riding Hood from hell. XD Anywho, we danced a couple times and he asked me out that night. Never go out with a guy the day you meet him. >< I gave him two months - two months of clingy annoyingness. He called me every day and was just... well he wasn't cute either. It was annoying and he wasn't attractive enough to pull me back. XD Sorry Brock.

Steven (Freshman Year)- Last year. Kathleen and Candace tried to set us up before Homecoming and that failed. So a week after homecoming he finally asked me out and I agreed. He was cute and I woulda liked to get to know him. He said a lot of times that he'd rather live in Houston - and he had the option too. But he stayed here for me. Aww, how cute. But it's a good thing I did get to know him as fast as I could. He was a drug addict - taking almost every kind of killer out there - and was apparently a nymphmaniac too 'cause he kept trying to get me to come over to his house when his parents were out. >< I dun think so buddy. When I dumped him I gave the excuse that I had a crush on someone else - which I did. At the time I was still crushing big time on Josh ((a crush that had been on and off since before 6th grade when I met him at a camp)). He asked me "If this guy doesn't go out with you will you go back out with me?" I said "Sure whatever." Two days later the druggie moves to Houston. XD Good riddence.

Yeah, I've had one boyfriend every year since 6th grade. But I think it's about time I broke that cycle of annoying clingy, druggie, one track minded, never there boys. Ever since Joe broke up with me I never thought a person I'd end up having a huge crush on would actually turn around and return my feelings. Especially not in this case. I thought I'd have to wait around for some other bozo I don't care about to come along and monopolize my time. Black Friday morning and I got bored. My family (Mom, Allison, Beth, and my Aunt Robin) all got up at 4 in the morning and left at 5. They’ll be gone until about 11. And they woke me up so I could baby-sit. Granted, the baby is still asleep. Basically what I’m supposed to do it sleep on the couch upstairs so I can hear her when she wakes up (I’m a pretty light sleeper). But now that I’m awake, what’s the use of going back to sleep?
